Microsoft 365 Education services - GDPR Complaint

It is being reported that the Microsoft 365 Education suite of services used in schools collects children's personal information in violation of the EU's Privacy laws.

It is suggested that big tech provides school programs at lower cost in order to get the next generation used to their system and creating loyal customers into the future. However, it comes with a cost.

The contracts between schools and Microsoft place GDPR compliance on the schools.

It's alleged that Microsoft 365 Education installed cookies that analyse user behavior, collect browser data and are used for advertising. Without the school's knowledge, and without the school's ability to comply with GDPR.
