BC Class Action awards $15,000 per person because their Personal Information was stolen

November 24, 2024 - An employee of the Government vehicle insurer in BC, ICBC, accessed and sold personal information of customers from ICBC’s database. Some of the personal information was used by criminals to target individuals. The employee was charged criminally, and a Class Action against ICBC was commenced.
